Hummee Hum Brahm Hum

This beautiful mantra, Hummee Hum Brahm Hum, means We are We, We are God. We are made from the same Purna / complete wholeness and perfection / as God. May we take refuge in that and remember to live as often as we can from that place.

You can just listen and relax your body to feel the energy of this mantra or you can chant along. Bhakti yoga is about showing up with whatever feelings you have, sadness, longing, grief, joy, and allowing the energy of the practice to penetrate for your highest good.

I first heard a recording of this by Siri Sadhana Kaur in my teacher, Sheryl Edsall’s yoga class. You can hear the longing in it, to call out to God, the Divine, to remember who we are and that we are all connected, all made from the light of God.

I was moved to learn to play it to share in my yoga classes and in Kirtan which I will be giving this Sunday, Dec. 13 at 2pm on Zoom via www.highlandyoga.com The theme is...

Remembering Our True Nature:
From the Shadow to the Light.

We will infuse our Kirtan with moments of EFT tapping utilizing mantras, affirmations and dharma readings to recognize and honor our individual and collective shadow and realize how it inspires our shift back to the light.

“No mud, no lotus.”

Cost $20

Register online www.highlandyoga.com under events and workshops.
